We’re celebrating women with style and substance. Women who love, create, inspire and achieve. Women who change the world, one lovely action at a time. Lovely doesn’t sit still. Lovely does it.
Introducing Kara, Katie and Nadiya.
Kara took the lead as Maria in the TV special of The Sound of Music Live, proving to the nation that not only is she an exceptional actress, but also a talented singer. On the rare occasion that Kara’s not on-stage, she’s training for her next half marathon. She has completed the Great Northern Run three times, fundraising thousands of pounds for charity. Lovely never stops.
Katie has inspired countless people through her campaign work. She runs her own charity, The Katie Piper Foundation, which supports burns survivors. She’s also spreading positivity through her podcast, KATIE PIPER’S Extraordinary People, which invites guests to share their stories of overcoming adversity. Lovely never stops.
Nadiya’s passion for cooking has seen her star in her own television show, where she took a mouth-watering food tour around Cambodia, Thailand and her home country of Bangladesh. After mastering the cooking world, she then turned her hand to designing, launching her own homeware collection to ensure that her food not only tastes amazing, but is beautifully presented too. Lovely never stops.
Katie received a BAFTA nomination for her brave documentary, Katie: My Beautiful Face before going on to become a bestselling author. She has published two autobiographies, as well as a series of books that champion confidence, wellbeing and challenge our definition of beauty. Lovely never stops.
Well known for her amazing baking skills, Nadiya famously won the Great British Bake Off in 2015. Despite having confidence issues, she persevered with the competition, impressing the judges with her extraordinary talent (Mary Berry even shed a tear!) Since this experience, Nadiya has published two fiction novels; with stories that give voice to Muslim women, with plans to release the third in the trilogy soon. Lovely never stops.
Kara won the glitterball trophy for her samba performance during Sports Relief in 2008, before returning to the dancefloor two years later and taking the crown for a second time. She’s also wowed audiences with her most recent performance as Olivia in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Lovely never stops.
As a mum of three, Nadiya is passionate about cooking at home with her family. This inspired her to release three children’s cookbooks, encouraging families to cook, eat, and share stories together. And her passion for community doesn’t end in the kitchen. When she isn't experimenting with new recipes, she’s campaigning to improve the lives of others. As an ambassador for Starlight Children’s Foundation and Water Aid, Nadiya is passionate about speaking out for those in need. Lovely never stops.
Diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, Kara’s parents enrolled her in drama school to boost her confidence, which kickstarted her love of acting. She famously joined the cast of EastEnders, before starring in the West End and then the Royal Shakespeare Theatre Company. Since finding fame, she has used her voice to raise awareness for dyslexia with her documentary, Don’t Call Me Stupid. Lovely never stops.
Katie advocates fitness as a way of boosting mental health and positivity. As a firm believer that you should never take your body for granted, she has devised The Happy Healthy Mum manual to encourage mothers to look after their minds and bodies. She has also applied her creative flair to design, curating her own pram collection. Lovely never stops.
