Assistant Buyer

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join the Buying team in their Shoreditch Head Office.

Purpose of the role

To directly support the Buying Manager in the development, negotiations and delivery of successful and relevant ranges across our different product departments.

Key Deliverables

  • Managing the department critical path, working closely with suppliers and the Merchandising teams to ensure all key deadlines are met and potential issues escalated to Buyer/Merchandiser
  • Supporting the Buyer in developing, planning and delivering a balanced range
  • Deputising for the Buyer in meetings in their absence
  • Overseeing the management of the department filing systems and cupboard spaces ensuring an organised working space
  • Negotiate and explore routes, e.g. fabric and supplier, to ensure department target margins are achieved
  • Undertaking and regularly feeding back competitor and trend reports
  • Work and communicate effectively with suppliers
  • Confidently managing and developing the Buying Co-ordinator

Experience & Skills Necessary

  • Currently be working as an Assistant Buyer or Senior Buying Coordinator within a fashion retailer, brand or supplier
  • Strong-team player with a diligent work ethic

Auditor Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Auditor to join the Oasis & Warehouse team. This role is based in Stanton, Oxfordshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • To calculate and investigate stocktakes for Oasis and Warehouse when they are scheduled. Reconcile completed stocktakes promptly and accurately to update the stores book stock.
  • To assist the stores with their stock administration queries to ensure they are resolved and corrected quickly.
  • Support Office Manager in the completion of all tasks required for the Security and Audit Monthly review meetings with the brands.
  • Carry out any other Audit related duties as required by the needs of the business.

ABOUT YOU

  • IT skills with experience of Microsoft packages - Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent level of numeracy.
  • Experience in the merret stock management software package desirable but not essential
  • Experience in retail desirable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.

Mid-Weight Photographer

The Photographer is responsible for shooting Stills and Model for both Oasis and Warehouse, taking direction from the Senior Photographers.

They will need to be able to cover all aspects of photography across the Oasis and Warehouse websites, ecommerce and creative, model and still life. Ensuring top quality imagery is being produced and quality and consistency is maintained.

This role reports to the Senior Oasis Photographer but will be co- managed by both Senior Photographers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers all in-house photography, content and third party marketplace shoots (i.e. Next Label) each season across both brands
  • Follows technical and lighting setups - having an good understanding of light quality to create a high end aesthetic that shows the products in both their truest form and best quality
  • Is able to cover all aspects of Photography from model shoots to still life product; including establishing a clean and well exposed image that captures the product and the Brands’ personality to the highest degree. The importance of continuity is essential and images must clearly represent what the consumer believes they have purchased while channelling an online platform
  • Understands the different style and identity for each brand
  • Provides edits for all editorial and content shoots and delivers these in an organized and timely manner
  • Technical responsibility and knowledge on the latest photographic capturing software (Capture One). An in-depth knowledge to navigate through the software, creating profiles for model shoots and colour correcting for product shoots
  • Providing support to the Senior Photographers, looking after all photography equipment and stock. Ensuring studio and equipment are kept clean and organised and all Oasis and Warehouse studio equipment is clearly labelled
  • Able to cover the Seniors on holiday/ sick days

  • Have previous Ecommerce experience with both model and still life
  • Show an understanding and knowledge on the latest photographic capturing software (Capture One). Able to navigate through the software. Has a good understanding and experience with lighting and photography equipment

Senior Assistant Merchandiser

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit a Senior Assistant Merchandiser to join the Merchandising team in their Shoreditch Head Office.

Purpose of the role

To assist in the planning and trading of own area using analysis and forecasting to ultimately maximise profit and limit risk within the department.

Key Deliverables

Trading

  • Manages the intake, deliveries and capacities for own area taking appropriate action when required
  • Uses the auto DS to identify issues and propose solutions to line manager
  • Is able to manage OTB and re forecast WSSI using all available tools and trading information
  • Works to achieve target margin through awareness of intake, commitment and BTI, highlighting risk to line manager and team
  • With guidance, manages the mark-downs and re-pricings of department with a full awareness of mark down strategy
  • Supports Junior Merchandiser/Merchandiser in preparing for Monday trade meeting
  • Drives and interprets analysis communicating findings to line manager
  • Is able to produce an utilise analysis to consistently plan a balanced stock package, minimising the risk of incorrect buys.

Planning

  • Ensures all relevant historical analysis is gathered to prepare foundations for forward planning
  • Works with buying to plan sales budgets and produce WSSI, Flows and range plan in line with the planning calendar
  • Prepares, presents and follows through department strategy in planning meetings
  • Communicates department priorities, promotions and mark-downs to planning and logistics to ensure a commercial weekly allocation strategy

Commercial /Trend awareness

  • Is aware at all times of company and department targets, and current trading with the ability to lead commercial discussions
  • Keeps abreast of commercial trading through regular store visits to both Oasis and competitors, leading the meeting in the line manager’s absence.

Field Visual Coordinator - South West & South Central

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Visual Merchandiser to join us as a Field Visual Coordinator. This role is a field based position that will look after VM within the South West and South Central area.  You will be responsible for developing and delivering a strong visual and commercial brand image to customers at all times.

The role covers the South West and South Central area, with priority stores in Cardiff, Bristol, Reading, Cambridge, Farnham and Milton Keynes, which will require weekly visits. You’ll also be required to come to London twice a month and attend store refits which could take place all over the UK.

The role

  • Driving commerciality and profitability through Visual Merchandising
  • Visually developing the Branch Management and Branch team through training and coaching
  • Supporting the roll out of creative / brand windows across the business
  • Driving all visual initiatives at store openings and refits, supporting Area Managers and the wider team
  • Support Area Managers with store direction and visual needs by store
  • Train retail team on all visual techniques
  • Consistently evaluate and monitor the impact of visual training and communication to ensure it is both relevant and cost effective
  • Creating visual weekly feedback for Head Office

People Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, dynamic and motivated HR Assistant to join the Oasis Fashions People Team in their Shoreditch Head Office. 

 

Purpose of the role:

To provide accurate and timely administrative support to the People Team and act as a first point of contact for People queries, enabling the People team to effectively partner with the brand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

People Support

  • Be the first point of contact for all people queries and escalate as appropriate, provide basic ER support, note-taking and occasional guidance on People Policy and procedures
  •  Manage the new starter/leaver/changes process for all Head Office new starters/current employees/leavers ensuring all relevant in information is input on to MYHR/paperwork is submitted on time
  •  Drive the Probationary Review process ensuring Managers meet the required timeframes and associated documentation
  •  Conduct allocated exit interviews

 

 HR Administration & Payroll

  •   Manage all People administration as necessary including offer letters, contracts, forms and all associated documentation, ensuring everything is submitted accurately and timely, in line with payroll deadlines
  • Manage and update the pay review spreadsheet with all changes, leavers, new starters etc
  • Update organisational charts and all other logs accurately as required
  • Support the People Team with any other administration as required
  • Write monthly communication (People News) to announce new starters, leavers and promotions and send out to all Head Office employees
  • Support with International contracts in Sweden and Germany

 

Recruitment

  •  Recruitment administration including advertisement of all Head Office vacancies, screening CV’s, responding to applications, arranging interviews, candidate liaison and room bookings, interview support for entry-level roles
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading and executing the social media strategy across all channels. Tasked with driving aggressive growth on each platform, they will ensure that follower engagement and sentiment remains high so that Oasis remains front of mind for our customers.

Strategic vision and the ability to understand how social media platforms can evolve is an absolute must for this role, as well as the passion and drive to see Oasis become a leading boutique high street retailer globally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of innovative and scalable social marketing strategies to optimise performance against key performance indicators.

Responsible for all branded social media channels, along with working cross-functionally with other teams to amplify our social media presence and relevance, grow our audience and increase engagement and effectiveness globally.

Manages the delivery of the social media calendar, localised social media accounts and Social Media Assistant and continually ensures that best practices are upheld.

Analyses and reports regularly on the performance of social media campaigns and proactively suggests tactical plans that optimise interactions with the Oasis audience and help shape the overall marketing strategy.

Gathers insights from monitoring and analytics to define next-generation social marketing opportunities and identify industry trends.

Works with the Senior Ecommerce Manager to monitor and analyse ROI on a weekly/monthly basis.

Collaborates with the PR team to create seasonal gifting strategies that cover both large-scale and micro influencers as well as super fans.

Responsible for managing blogger and vlogger relationships on a day-to-day basis.

Works with the Web Optimisation Manager to determine social media advertising spend as well as advising on look a-like modelling and geo targeting for campaigns.

Works with the Central Customer Services team to maintain high levels of customer sentiment across all social media sites.

Manages all invoicing, POs and budget lines relating to social media spend.

Supports the Head of Marketing to use knowledge gained through analysis to inform forecasts, budgets and the overall strategic direction of social media marketing.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Social Media Assistant, supporting their development through regular mentoring and the setting of personal objectives.

Key Skills

A minimum of 4 years’ experience of interacting within online communities and platforms, actively participating on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Proven experience of executing social media strategies at a global level and leveraging data driven research/analysis to drive strategic direction, best practices and process improvements

Excellent English writing skills.

A fantastic storyteller with a creative approach to telling the Oasis story.

Excellent knowledge of the nuances of unique content for each platform, with a brand publisher mind-set on how this can integrate with other marketing channels.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Enthusiastic team player who can articulate clear objectives and lead a team towards them.

An existing network of blogger and vlogger relationships.

Knowledge of Google Analytics, Falcon, all Microsoft packages. Knowledge of Olapic a bonus.
