Assistant Buyer

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join the Buying team in their Shoreditch Head Office.

Purpose of the role

To directly support the Buying Manager in the development, negotiations and delivery of successful and relevant ranges across our different product departments.

Key Deliverables

  • Managing the department critical path, working closely with suppliers and the Merchandising teams to ensure all key deadlines are met and potential issues escalated to Buyer/Merchandiser
  • Supporting the Buyer in developing, planning and delivering a balanced range
  • Deputising for the Buyer in meetings in their absence
  • Overseeing the management of the department filing systems and cupboard spaces ensuring an organised working space
  • Negotiate and explore routes, e.g. fabric and supplier, to ensure department target margins are achieved
  • Undertaking and regularly feeding back competitor and trend reports
  • Work and communicate effectively with suppliers
  • Confidently managing and developing the Buying Co-ordinator

Experience & Skills Necessary

  • Currently be working as an Assistant Buyer or Senior Buying Coordinator within a fashion retailer, brand or supplier
  • Strong-team player with a diligent work ethic
  • Have a great awareness of the Oasis brand and it’s customer
  • Commercially astute with a great sense of judgement, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Assistant Merchandiser

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit an Assistant Merchandiser to join the Merchandising team in their Shoreditch Head Office.

To assist in the planning and trading of own area using analysis and forecasting to ultimately maximise profit and limit risk within the department.

Trading

· Manages the intake, deliveries and capacities for own area taking appropriate action when required

· Uses the auto DS to identify issues and propose solutions to line manager

· Is able to manage OTB and re forecast WSSI using all available tools and trading information

· Works to achieve target margin through awareness of intake, commitment and BTI, highlighting risk to line manager and team

· With guidance, manages the mark-downs and re pricings of department with a full awareness of mark down strategy

· Drives and interprets analysis communicating findings to line manager

· Is able to produce an utilise analysis to consistently plan a balanced stock package, minimising the risk of incorrect buys.

Planning

· Ensures all relevant historical analysis is gathered to prepare foundations for forward planning

· Works with buying to plan sales budgets and produce WSSI, Flows and range plan in line with the planning calendar

· Prepares, presents and follows through department strategy in planning meetings

· Communicates department priorities, promotions and mark-downs to planning and logistics to ensure a commercial weekly allocation strategy

Commercial /Trend awareness

· Is aware at all times of company and department targets and current trading and can contribute in a commercial discussion

· Keeps abreast of commercial trading through regular store visits to both Oasis and competitors, lading the meting in the line manager’s absence.

Buying Coordinator

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit a Buying Coordinator to work in our Buying team in our Shoreditch Head Office.

This is an entry level role with great prospects for someone who is interested in developing a career in buying and has a passion for fashion and retail!

The Role

You will be working within a busy buying department, supporting the Junior Buyers & Buyers in developing and sourcing the Oasis products.

You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks including:

  • Creating garment orders
  • Monitoring the critical path
  • Managing all of the fit stages
  • Sample and department co-ordination
  • A range of ad hoc administrative tasks to support the buying team

Experience & Skills necessary

We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience, or who has completed a relevant qualification and is looking to gain practical industry experience.

Garment Technologist

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit an experienced Garment Technologist for our team in our Shoreditch Head Office!

In this role you will successfully manage your own product department, ensuring fit and quality is fit for purpose and is consistent within Oasis.

JOB ROLE

Fit & Sealing

  • Drive and manage fit sessions with Buying and Design, highlighting any potential problems and offering proactive technical advice and cost effective solutions
  • Drive and maintain consistent fit across all products in line with Quality department minimum measurements
  • Drive and maintain consistent methods of manufacture in line with Oasis Golden Rules
  • Communicate fit and sealing comments effectively to Supplier in line with critical dates
  • Manage and deal with queries from the supply base
  • Engineer products for suitability and enhance cost and quality
  • Conduct Fit / Product Reviews
  • Build relationship with the Supply base and understand their capabilities
  • Support buying department to manage critical path deadlines.

Testing

  • Evaluate and approve Test Reports in line with Oasis standards. Make commercial decisions where necessary
  • Approve wash care labels for products ensuring consistency between care labels of the same product type/ fabric base/ range
  • Manage and assess wearer trials where potential problems have been highlighted and may be a risk to the business. Take appropriate action.

Specs

  • Assist Design with the initial specs/blocks for SR’s. Ensuring minimum measurements are adhered to
  • Ensure garments are fitted and sealed with efficiency. Least sampling (1st fit to seal process) with clear and concise comments sent to suppliers
  • Ensure measurements are consistent across all products and are in line with the minimum measurements
  • Support suppliers to ensure Spec measurements are consistently met adhering to Oasis guide to measure

SWOT & Projects

  • Manage project work on own area to ensure improvement of quality and assist in quality team projects
  • Make regular Store Visits to audit the quality of production and assess competition.
  • Collate SWOT reports for each supply base
  • Ensure supply base is familiar with Oasis Quality processes
  • Advise quality and buying teams of new developments and methods of manufacture
  • Update supplier manual for relevant area in line with other departments/competitors and best practice

Rejects

  • Assess customer returns, fit and quality feedback, write off information and take the relevant action
  • Manage rejected deliveries on own department and liaise with the Buyer, Quality team and DC

Personal Management

  • To be approachable and use effective listening skills to manage information. To know what and when to refer upwards and what to manage on own initiative
  • To seek ideas that change and improve ways of working
  • Visit Factory base when necessary
  • To set a high standard and challenge short and long term action points.

PR Intern

We are seeking a PR Intern with a positive attitude and who is eager to learn, to join our in-house press office. Reporting to the PR Assistant, the PR Intern will provide daily support to the press team while gaining invaluable experience within a faced past high-street press office.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and collating daily press coverage
  • Creating daily coverage reports
  • Coordinating press send-outs and returns
  • Support and coordinate press and VIP store appointments
  • Organising and overseeing the VM of the showroom
  • Support the PR team with updating the department’s contact databases
  • General administration and housekeeping of relevant files, magazines

Requirements:

  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to tasks

People Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, dynamic and motivated HR Assistant to join the Oasis Fashions People Team in their Shoreditch Head Office. 

 

Purpose of the role:

To provide accurate and timely administrative support to the People Team and act as a first point of contact for People queries, enabling the People team to effectively partner with the brand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

People Support

  • Be the first point of contact for all people queries and escalate as appropriate, provide basic ER support, note-taking and occasional guidance on People Policy and procedures
  •  Manage the new starter/leaver/changes process for all Head Office new starters/current employees/leavers ensuring all relevant in information is input on to MYHR/paperwork is submitted on time
  •  Drive the Probationary Review process ensuring Managers meet the required timeframes and associated documentation
  •  Conduct allocated exit interviews

 

 HR Administration & Payroll

  •   Manage all People administration as necessary including offer letters, contracts, forms and all associated documentation, ensuring everything is submitted accurately and timely, in line with payroll deadlines
  • Manage and update the pay review spreadsheet with all changes, leavers, new starters etc
  • Update organisational charts and all other logs accurately as required
  • Support the People Team with any other administration as required
  • Write monthly communication (People News) to announce new starters, leavers and promotions and send out to all Head Office employees
  • Support with International contracts in Sweden and Germany

 

Recruitment

  •  Recruitment administration including advertisement of all Head Office vacancies, screening CV’s, responding to applications, arranging interviews, candidate liaison and room bookings, interview support for entry-level roles

Key Skills

  •  Ability to work with volume and in a fast paced environment

Web Optimisation Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, analytical, customer-oriented individual to join a growing digital team in an exciting new role. Responsible for overseeing digital optimisation and analytics across all markets and digital channels, the Digital Optimisation Manager will be responsible for maximising customer engagement, customer satisfaction and channel conversion.

The successful candidate will gather, interpret and disseminate analytical insights across the digital team working particularly closely with the Digital Projects Manager to create a roadmap for digital development to constantly drive performance across all channels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work across digital team to distil a data-driven culture with full support of the Head of Digital and Senior Ecommerce Manager
  • Ensure all Digital functions (and wider business functions) are informed of relevant metrics, insights and analytics covering:

  • Provide actionable insights, report on site metrics and identify areas for improvement; work with Digital Project Manager to prioritise initiatives and feed into overall digital roadmap
  • Use past digital performance to add value to the creation of new content/campaigns, prioritisation of site developments and overall digital decision making
  • Work closely with Design and Development Manager to ensure effective tracking is in place to measure performance of new site functionality and campaigns or to create new reports
  • Regular objective assessment of user experience to evaluate the effectiveness of the website across all devices and subsequent creation of recommendations to deliver a world class digital experience
  • Collation and evaluation of customer site feedback and NPS to identify areas of concern
  • Full responsibility for delivering AB/multivariate testing adopting a 'test and learn' approach, with continued reporting on optimisation impact
  • Work with the wider team to develop on-site personalisation strategy
  • Manage and maintain strong external relationships with analytics, testing, reviews and recommendations engines and any other third parties that become key to role

We’re looking for a Social Media Admin Assistant to join our Marketing team. The Social Media Assistant supports the Social Media Manager with execution of the Oasis marketing strategy across social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat and Instagram.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of innovative and scalable social marketing strategies to optimise performance against key performance indicators.

Regional Audit Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Audit Manager to join Oasis & Warehouse to assist the Senior Audit Manager in monitoring and maintaining all company data affecting stock systems, store administration and margins. To accurately calculate and report stockloss and compliance standards to laid down procedures for the brand(s) under your jurisdiction.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all stocktakes are investigated for administration errors promptly (normally within two weeks)
  • Providing support to the Store Managers during stocktake investigation
  • Being aware of the workload of the audit team including Stocktake Investigations, Incident Reports, E-mail, Security Reports, Concessions Weekly Takings Schedule files and any other information required to successfully complete stocktake investigations
  • Ensuring all attendance details for self and team are maintained on the Security and Audit (SAM) report, or equivalent, where applicable; organising around holidays, sickness, etc.
  • Ensuring the relevant Stocktake and Compliance files are updated on the system and relevant detail forwarded as quickly as possible to Stores, Area Managers and Security
  • Ensuring that Compliance Audit visits are performed in stores
  • Carrying out any other Audit related duties as required by the needs of the business. This may include, for example, conducting investigations into Systems and Distribution Centre procedures
  • Suggesting where improvements may be made to procedures in a) the department b) the stores or c) IT systems
  • Liaising with the IT systems department and Security regarding any data mining issues or till problems

ABOUT YOU

  • IT skills with good experience of Microsoft packages: Excel (to an advanced level), Word and Outlook and any other mainframe stock and cash systems utilised by the company
  • Excellent level of numeracy
