PR Assistant

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit a PR Assistant to join our Press Team in our Shoreditch Head Office

Purpose of the role

To provide day to day support for the Press Officer and PR Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the press office. 

Key Deliverables

  • Coordinate all press samples to support an effective PR strategy
  • Coordinate all store loan samples to support an effective PR strategy
  • Coordinate image and price requests daily
  • Ensure that the PR showroom and PR area looks presentable at all times
  • Support the PR Manager and Press Officer with seasonal press days, launch events and shoots as required
  • Develop new media relationships. Deploy your most reliable best friends-both press and industry contacts across all relevant media genres
  • Confident proactive product placement driver to support the team
  • Basic understanding of the media landscape, publications and opportunities
  • Coordinate the daily monitoring of press to ensure all coverage is highlighted
  • Compile the weekly press coverage report to be seeded to the wider business and support PR Manager/Press Officer with weekly invoicing
  • Coordinate the press intern rota and day to day workload of interns

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 6 months fashion PR experience either in house or agency side
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Proficiency in sample management systems such as Fashion GPS, Fashion Soft or similar

Copywriter

Got a wily way with words? Then you could be JUST what we’re looking for…

Yes, we’re currently recruiting for an experienced copywriter to create compelling and emotionally engaging copy across all channels – online and offline. From on-brand internal communications to external customer-facing email campaigns and product descriptions; you name it, you’ll be writing it.

About you:

As the voice of our brand, you’ll have a naturally warm and conversational tone and true creative flair. You’ll be practised at interrogating a brief, understanding the commercial objective and delivering insightful, witty copy that’s free of clichés and full of fresh ideas that emotionally engage our customers. ‘Ideas’ versus ‘concepts’? You totally get the difference. And what you don’t know about writing killer email subject lines could comfortably fit on the back of a postage stamp.

You’ll be educated to degree level - preferably in English - and will probably be the person who chooses Scrabble over Monopoly and Alphabites over baked beans.

Buying Coordinator

We're looking to recruit a Buying Coordinator to work in our Buying team in our Shoreditch Head Office.

This is an entry level role with great prospects for someone who is interested in developing a career in buying and has a passion for fashion and retail!

The Role

You will be working within a busy buying department, supporting the Junior Buyers & Buyers in developing and sourcing the Oasis products.

You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks including:

  • Creating garment orders
  • Monitoring the critical path
  • Managing all of the fit stages
  • Sample and department co-ordination
  • A range of ad hoc administrative tasks to support the buying team

Experience & Skills necessary

We are ideally looking for someone who has completed a relevant qualification and is looking to gain practical industry experience. However, don’t worry if you don’t have a relevant qualification, if you have some relevant work experience instead, that’ll do nicely as well.

Other skills that are important for this role include:

  • Strong commercial awareness and a passion for the brand
  • Self motivated
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Some relevant work experience (i.e. within a high street fashion retailer)

Digital Acquisition Assistant

The principal objective of the Digital Acquisition Assistant is to drive customer recruitment through website optimisation, the development of key marketing channels and delivery of marketing campaigns. This role will assist in the creation and execution of innovative and effective acquisition campaigns across all marketing channels. Working closely with the internal team and external third parties, the candidate will support in improving the brand’s organic search presence, help to deliver successful PPC advertisements and aid in the recruitment of impactful affiliate partners. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with a flair for numbers and who isn’t afraid to get stuck into a variety of tasks and areas digital marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the internal team and external SEO agency to improve organic presence
  • Support website changes for optimised data collection
  • Report on the performance of on-site search and maintain redirects
  • Aid with new customer acquisition PPC campaigns
  • Review affiliate opportunities, focusing on customer recruitment
  • Provide support for social media advertising
  • General admin tasks such as budget management

Skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or similar
  • Experience in retail or fashion is not necessary but an advantage
  • Proficient in Excel basics
  • Demonstrate an interest in reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge of search engine optimisation is a beneficial but not essential
  • Confident communicator
  • Team player
  • Organised with good time management

Junior Retoucher

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Retoucher to join us in our East London Head Office. This is a wide and varied role within a fast-paced in-house Photo Studio. Reporting into the Senior Retocuher, the role will give you an amazing opportunity to grow and develop.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of retouching both models and mannequins
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Be proficient in Photoshop and Bridge C55/C56 in Mac 05 using Wacom tablets
  • Have an understanding of working with colour spaces, correcting colour, actions, batching, creating cut-outs and layering

The main responsibilities include:

  • Retouching Ecommerce images and content shoots across both brands
  • Working with photographers, stylists and assistants to produce top quality images
  • Bringing innovation and best practice to the team and constantly generating new ideas
  • Time managing, feeding back any problematic folders
  • Supporting the other retouchers
  • Ensuring delivery dates are maintained and products are colour corrected

Merchandise Admin Assistant

Oasis Fashions are looking to recruit a Merchandise Admin Assistant to join their Merchandising team in the Shoreditch Head Office.

This is an entry level role, with real prospects for someone who is interested in developing a career in merchandising and has a passion for fashion and retail!

Purpose of the role

To provide the team with accurate and timely administration, aiding in the planning and trading of the area to ultimately maximise profit and limit risk within the department.

Key Deliverables 

Trading 

  • Responsible for updating and monitoring weekly intake and is aware of Distribution Centre capacities
  • Collates and distributes all reports across function a required
  • Utilises the auto DS to update the WSSI and has an understanding of its use
  • Has an awareness of the OTB and its impact on the department
  • Is consistently aware of daily sales and updates team on current trade

Planning 

  • Produces historical analysis as required in preparation for planning
  • Updates and checks accuracy of all planning reports

Commercial /Trend awareness 

  • Is aware at all times of company and department targets and current trading and can contribute in a commercial discussion
  • Keeps abreast of commercial trading through regular store visits to both Oasis and competitors, lading the meting in the line manager’s absence.

Experience & Skills necessary

  • Strong administration and skills
  • Technical and numerical skills are essential, as the role requires a good knowledge of computer systems, especially Excel!
  • Some relevant work experience (i.e. within a high street fashion retailer)
